Thanks to the caring commitment of you and other dedicated team captains, players, family and friends, the Maryland District made significant progress in 2009.

The deadline to apply has been extended deadline to January 15, 2010.
The 2010 Campus Championship Mid-Atlantic went off without a hitch and survived a snow storm! The Championship was held at the Old Dominion University's Folkes/Stevens Indoor Tennis Center in Norfolk Virginia January 30 & 31, 2010.
University of Maryland was declared the champions of the event. The College of William & Mary placed 2nd, the University of Virginia placed 3rd and Old Dominion University placed 4th. Each of the schools received automatic bids to compete in the USTA National Campus Championship. These teams will represent the USTA Mid-Atlantic Section well and should be very competitive. Georgetown University and Virginia Tech rounded up the field and placed 5th and 6th.
PORT SAINT LUCIE, FL—No. 1 seed Scott Sculley of Churchville, MD was crowned the 8-and-under Little Mo International Champion and also earned the Boy's Sportsmanship Award at the tournament.
Sculley, the National Little Mo Champion, received automatic entry into the main draw and was seeded No. 1. The top four boys from the qualifier joined Sculley and the three other semifinalists from the US National Little Mo in the main draw. Sculley defeated No. 4 seed Harrison Gold from Florida in the finals 7-5, 6-7, 10-5.
In the past year, Junior Ore has played an extensive tournament schedule, circling the globe and collecting ITF ranking points to reach 20th in the world. While in Morocco, he won the ITF Raquette D’Or, and was a finalist in two other major tournaments. Ore played in the Junior US Open, his first grand slam event, and has competed in many professional Futures tournaments.
Men’s include Patrick Daciek #75 Singles playing for Virginia Tech and John Collins listed at #121 Singles out of Un. of Maryland. Ryan Kent’s undefeated season in doubles at Delaware landed him in the top 100 at #39 in the country. On the Women’s side, former Maryland resident Ellah Nze who plays for Duke is #91 in Singles
